Product Description

This is used as a strippable coating system for surfaces where temporary protection is required. It can easily be removed from the surface by pulling the film of the surface in a coherent foil.

Uses

Peelcoat is primarily used for spray booth coating, but can be used on non-porous substrates where a strippable finish is required.

General Information

Peelcoat is very thixotropic and will need to be stirred very well in order to break up the false body and make the viscosity spray ready. Failure to mix properly may result in lumps/bumps in the finish or require the use of excess thinners, thereby reducing the peeling properties of the dried coating.

Apply 1 to 3 coats of 5 to 8 mils wet to obtain an appropriate thickness.

THE CUSTOMER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR FOLLOWING THE RECOMMENDED APPLICATION PROCEDURES. FAILURE TO ADHERE TO THE RECOMMENDATIONS GIVEN IN THIS DATA SHEET WILL LIKELY RESULT IN UNSATISFACTORY FILM APPEARANCE OR FILM FAILURE. THE COMPLETE COATING SYSTEM SHOULD BE CHECKED FOR REQUIRED PROPERTIES PRIOR TO THE START-UP OF PRODUCTION.

Dry times are greatly affected by film build, porosity of substrate, air movement as well as heat and humidity. Temperatures are based on actual board temperature. This may vary depending on length of time for boards to reach these temperatures. Minimum curing temperatures of 64°F/18°C must be maintained throughout the curing cycle to achieve the film integrity as stated in product features.
