Product Description

Chemfill Neutral is all-purpose neutral filler for furniture and cabinets. This product should be stirred well due to the heavy concentration of fillers.  Applications may be by hand or by spray if reduced to spray viscosity. 825-3503 Chemfill Neutral can be tinted using 866 tint to a maximum of 5%.

General Information

Application may be by hand or spray if reduced to a spray viscosity. This filler must be wiped or sprayed into the grain and wiped clean with a clean rag to ensure good adhesion by subsequent clear coats. Allow 4 to 8 hours under heat before clear coating.

If Chemfill is being allowed to air dry only, it is recommended it be allowed to dry a minimum of 18 hours prior to clear coating.

Chemfill Neutral may be clear coated with any of the following systems: Plastofix Light 421-48XX, Danspeed Elite 424-44XX, Opticlear 431-80XX, Chemlack 441-50XX, Chemlife® 24 - 421-63XX, EVar 421-80XX, Danspeed II 424-45XX, Varicure® 431-46XX, ES Lacquer Elite 431-47XX, Opticlear 431-80XX, Airguard® 431-58XX and Chemguard II 431-70XX as well as sealers associated with these systems.

IMPORTANT: Product must be thoroughly agitated before use.

THE CUSTOMER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR FOLLOWING THE RECOMMENDED APPLICATION PROCEDURES. FAILURE TO ADHERE TO THE RECOMMENDATIONS GIVEN IN THIS DATA SHEET WILL LIKELY RESULT IN UNSATISFACTORY FILM APPEARANCE OR FILM FAILURE. THE COMPLETE COATING SYSTEM SHOULD BE CHECKED FOR REQUIRED PROPERTIES PRIOR TO THE START-UP OF PRODUCTION.

Dry times are greatly affected by film build, porosity of substrate, air movement as well as heat and humidity. Temperatures are based on actual board temperature. This may vary depending on length of time for boards to reach these temperatures. Minimum curing temperatures of 64°F/18°C must be maintained throughout the curing cycle to achieve the film integrity as stated in product features.
