Directions for Use
Surface Preparation
Wood substrate should be sanded with 120 and 150 grit prior to application to ensure good adhesion. Sealers and primers should be well sanded using 240, 280 and 320 grit stearated paper. Suitable sealers are polyurethane (436-1306 or 436-2400) or polyester (458-XXXX) types. For optimal performance sealers should be coated within 8 hours of sanding. Care should be taken during sanding to avoid sanding through the primer. Difficult or oily wood substrates may require Isolante sealer (401-033). It is not recommended to use traditional oil stains with polyurethane products.
General Information
Mix the desired amount of material and apply 4-6 mils wet. The coating when cured is very suitable to be buffed and polished where dust free conditions are not available. Allow product to cure prior to buffing to reduce shrink-back.
The relative humidity in the application and drying rooms should never exceed 75%. Viscosity on the mixed material should be monitored regularly to maintain a consistent appearance.
The mixed product contains 876-9068, an isocyanate based co-reactant. Please follow all precautions associated with handling and use of these materials.
Total recommended film thickness of system containing Lucido is not to exceed 6 mils dry.
THE CUSTOMER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR FOLLOWING THE RECOMMENDED APPLICATION PROCEDURES. FAILURE TO ADHERE TO THE RECOMMENDATIONS GIVEN IN THIS DATA SHEET WILL LIKELY RESULT IN UNSATISFACTORY FILM APPEARANCE OR FILM FAILURE. THE COMPLETE COATING SYSTEM SHOULD BE CHECKED FOR REQUIRED PROPERTIES PRIOR TO THE START-UP OF PRODUCTION.

Note:
Dry times are greatly affected by film build, porosity of substrate, air movement as well as heat and humidity. Temperatures are based on actual board temperature. This may vary depending on length of time for boards to reach these temperatures. Minimum curing temperatures of 64°F/18°C must be maintained throughout the curing cycle to achieve the film integrity as stated in product features.
